Chart changes — August 2026
Archived historical reference. Every change below was incorporated into the charts and build sheets before the 2026-08-17 design freeze; no further chart changes are expected.
If you mapped wires against the Build Guide charts before August 4, this page lists everything that changed and what to re-check. No existing junction/label numbers were renumbered — every label you have already printed or written down is still valid. The changes are additions, corrections, and chart-format updates.
Wiring-critical corrections (re-check these)

| Major arches: right-foot power added. Every arch’s right foot (the data-in end) gets a power-injection T fed by its pod’s END branch — new labels 437 / 438 / 439 / 440 (arches 1, 2, 3, 5). The old chart implied every SR pigtail carried 24 V; only arch 4’s pigtail carries V+ (5 A ARCH-4 holder inside SR 29-32 (A)). | SR 29-32 (A) location corrected: right foot of major arch 4, not arch 3 (Aug 5, John’s catch). Every chart said “arch 3” while the design itself — arch 4’s pigtail V+ riding this box’s bus, no pod on arch 4’s right leg — always assumed the box at arch 4. | Brightness policy + spire re-fuse (Aug 6): ports 5–32 now run at 80%, rose ports at 70% (the old 50% cap is history); the generator is protected by the 8 kW software budget (#113 analyzer/compressor), the port caps are the electrical backstop. Part changes

Rose fork rails (Aug 5): the SRx1-PSU boards measure 3/8 in (9.5 mm) fork centers — the 7.62 mm MECCANIXITY barrier strips on the earlier charts do not fit and are being returned. The rails are now uxcell 9.5 mm 6-position dual-row terminal blocks (forks clamp the front row, PSU feed lands the back row, jumper each V+/V− triple). Rose wiring + assembly sheets updated; still clamp one board before drilling the hub.

HLG-600H dual DC outputs assigned (Aug 5): every 600H’s two output pairs now have explicit assignments on the wiring sheets — front-E: pair 1 → quad near tap, pair 2 → far-corner lead + A-panel 24 V feed; back-A: quad / spire group; back-E: quad / far-corner + buck; minors: zone pigtail-V+ / zone injections. Never parallel the two pairs into one WAGO; both black leads go to the GND commons.

Field power connections are now connectorized (Aug 5): every power pair that exits a box (A-panel feeds, quad far-corner leads, minor-arch injection pairs, pod branches, the arch-4 pair, rose trunks) ends in a labeled 2-pin connector stub — new labels 441–499 on the new power-feed label sheet. Volunteers match the printed number and click; nobody lands field wires on WAGOs. Two families: Twippo 14 AWG superseal (5/7.5 A) and Linkstyle DTP 12 AWG (15 A) — power can’t mate data, and 15 A can’t mate 5 A. Gender keying: 24 V lines = box-side Male; 12 V lines = box-side Female.
Chart-format changes (no wiring impact)
- SR output label sheets (
*-sr-labels, Aug 5): the big line on each SR-side pigtail tag is now the printed connector number + gender (e.g.411 M) — the same number the mating cable end carries, opposite gender — instead of the port ID. The port ID (16A…) moved into the small note in parentheses. If you printed SR-output tags before Aug 5, reprint them. - SR Boxes sockets tables: the Cable label column now shows the printed connector number on the cable end (e.g.
231 F) — exactly what is on the physical tag — instead of the port ID. Port IDs (5A,8B…) moved to their own Port column (troubleshooting only). If your notes used the old “Cable label” values, those are now in the Port column. - The per-box “Socket layout” images were removed (they led with port/channel numbers nobody sees on build).
- The Cable labels sheet index moved from the LED reference to Cables & Runs → Cable labels, and the missing Wash floods row was added (the wash sheets existed, just weren’t listed).
Retired label numbers
Junctions 289, 292, 295, 298, 301, 304 (“canopy PSU V+ at back tower end”) were deleted — leftovers from the pre-#95 back-fed canopy design. They have not appeared on any label sheet printed since 2026-07-20. If you have physical labels with those numbers from an older print run, discard them: the canopies are front-fed (grouped fuse at the front-tower 24 V PSU; far end unfed — a back-end tap gets added only if the far globes dim).
Everything above is reflected in the wiring database (wiring-db/strands.db), which is machine-checked on every regen (pixel-map/validate.py — all checks passing). Audit trail: issue #114.
